The Belgut Marathon was founded not just as a race, but as a mission, to transform lives through the power of athletics and education. As a son of Belgut, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible athletic talent within our communities. I’ve also seen too many bright students miss out on their potential due to lack of resources. This marathon is our response.
Since our first edition in 2023, we’ve seen this dream come to life. Athletes from across the Rift Valley and beyond have run not only to compete, but to uplift. Every stride taken on Belgut’s roads has helped educate a child, inspire a youth, and bring our people together. This is more than a sporting event, it is a symbol of hope and resilience.
We are proud to host the Belgut Marathon 2025 under the high skies of Kericho County. Our route, shaped by hills, tarmac, fresh air, and determination, reflects the journey of every athlete and every student we support. And with each new edition, we continue to build Belgut’s profile—not just as a home of champions, but as a community rooted in purpose and unity.
